| Summary: | Under the direction of the Manager, Medical Benefits Analysis, is responsible for the research, analysis, development and implementation of new and existing programs for medical management areas. Assists in the design, testing, and evaluation of new systems. Responsible for the design, testing, and delivery of designated medical management reports. Serves as consultant to marketing, claims, and IT departments in the development and evaluation of customized programs impacting medical management areas. Acts as a project leader for defined projects. |
| Qualifications: | BS in Business Administration with a minimum of 3 year's experience with the Health Plan and/or health care industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication skills required with some working analytical ability. Must be able to manage people and projects effectively and negotiate with middle and senior management levels. Must show initiative and creativity in assessing the trends in utilization data and their impact on medical management. Working knowledge of the PC, Microsoft office, Lotus Notes products, and data warehouse programming. Must possess and maintain knowledge of the regulations, requirements, and procedures as they pertain to timely claim payments and processes. Must display a high degree of professionalism, strong work ethic and positive attitude. Must be organized and able to work independently and as a member of a team. |
